Holy Days

We must be conscious of major Jewish feasts if we are to understand fully the Gospel accounts of Jesus’ life. These religious feasts are still celebrated by Jews around the world. They include Shavuoth (Pentecost or the Feast of Weeks), Yom Kippur (Day of Atonement), and Passover.

For each Holy Day, find out:

When it is celebrated
(Use the Gregorian Calendar!)

What it celebrates

Practices included in the celebration

Explore the following Web sites to learn about these three feasts.
