The Purpose of this WebQuest

This WebQuest was created for the students of Archbishop Spalding High School, in Severn, Maryland. Everyone else is invited to browse this site. On the "Tools and Resources" page, there are many interesting links concerning the Holy Land.

As you participate in these exercises you are going to learn about life in the Holy Land at the time of Jesus. The textbook, Jesus of History, Christ of Faith, (St. Mary's Press) says "Jesus was a Jew born in a particular place within a particular culture at a particular time in history." In learning about Jesus, you must first learn about his world.

You will be using resources from the Web (some directly from the Holy Land) as well as your textbook and other printed materials. A good scripture concordance Web site such as BibleGateway.com is very helpful (http://bible.gospelcom.net/)
